Midden Pavilion

In conceptualising this entertainment pavilion in a large garden surrounded by a powerful mountain landscape, we limited our consideration to the timeless, the simple, to charting the movement of the sun, the changing quality of light during the day and the mystery and magic of the landscape at night. The pavilion fuses images of nest and tree canopy. It hangs suspended in space, a locus of stillness, emptiness and possibility.
